The Future is Indigenous
This is collection of photographs conceived around unifying themes of water protection and sovereign liberation. Since the fall of 2015 I began documenting actions across Diné Bikeyah in the face of ongoing water settlement negotiations as well as repeated toxic mine contamination discharges. Meanwhile, the message Water Is Life took on global significance around mobilizations with Standing Rock in defense of Indigenous sovereignty and humanity. Across these spaces and places our resolve is clear: the Future is Indigenous.
